Rotate a folder of scans consistently

Batch rotation is safe only when the set truly shares an orientation. One landscape insert or already-correct page can be damaged by a uniform command.

01

Sort a contact sheet into clockwise, counter-clockwise, upside-down and correct groups. Visual classification is faster and safer than repairing exceptions after export.

02

Apply the same pixel operation and output policy to each group. Mixing metadata-only orientation with physical rotation produces inconsistent behaviour across viewers.

03

Name outputs separately and keep originals. A batch should be reversible until page order, orientation and edge trimming have been checked.

04

Spot-check the first, middle and last file in every group, plus all unusual dimensions. Scanner interruptions and inserted receipts often create the exceptions.
