Make scans upright for form uploads

A form portal needs an upright readable page, not merely a portrait-shaped file. Rotation and deskew are separate corrections.

01

Apply the ninety-degree orientation first, then measure residual skew from a printed baseline or page edge. Reversing the order makes the angle harder to interpret.

02

Retain all four document corners when completeness matters. Cropping to the ink can remove seals, page numbers or evidence that the whole sheet was captured.

03

Use a white or neutral fill for exposed corners after slight deskew, unless the portal explicitly accepts transparency. Transparent triangles can render black in some systems.

04

Read the smallest line after export and verify the final dimensions. A correct angle does not compensate for an overly small or heavily compressed upload.
